I live on a farm and run a rescue kennels for Border Collies, we can have as many as fifty dogs in our care at any one time. I bought a Handi-scoop to try and save all the bending down to ‘pick up’ after I injured my back. We have several different play areas for our dogs so picking up can be on concrete, gravel, and grass. Our grass areas are not lawns and as well as uneven ground the grass is never very short. I wasn’t sure if the Handi-scoop would be able to cope with all those areas but have to say that it hasn’t let me down once. It has picked up everything from solid to messy and small piles to large ones. We can have a lot of clearing up to do in one session and this scoop deals with everything quickly and efficiently, it can carry up to three bags and the real bonus at the end of the day for us is that we don’t have a dirty messy scoop to soak and clean, the bags do it all for us. I am now going to purchase a short handled one for when I go out with my own dogs and the bending up and down and storing of bags full of poo while out on a walk will not be an issue any more. My first words after test running for half day were ‘why on earth did I not know about this sooner!

Very simple…yet highly effective. Light in the hand, and surprisingly versatile when trying to collect stubborn deposits! Just wondering how long the plastic or the mechanism will last?

I have a bad back and cannot bend down to pick up my dogs mess. This has been a fantastic purchase. Would highly recommend it to anyone who has trouble picking up after their dogs. Plus its at arms length so your nose is protected too. Ha! Ha!

This review is for: Handiscoop Easy Reach Poop Scoop, 80 cm (Misc.) bought for my dad when dog walking as he cant bend down to pick poop up. i think its a brilliant product and does the job well.

Picking up after my dog has never been as easy as now since getting the Handiscoop. No more bending down which was a pain, litterally as I have a bad back.No more feeling sick as the offending poop wafts its smell towards me. No more hoping the bag being used is up to the task especially if poor old pooch has a touch of the runs Just pop the jaws either side of the offensive poop squeeze the trigger handle which, unless you are clearing up after the hound from hell,seems to cope with a good size deposit keep hold of the handle while you pop the full end in a poop bag let go of the trigger and you are ready for the next installment. I bought this for a friend’s dog (even tho I usually scoop the poop) I was very impressed with it and it’s handy having such a long handle, which saves me bending. The only reason I’ve not given it 5 stars is because the elastic rings are a bit messy to secure the bag……now maybe that’s my fault as I only do it once a week so therEfore pull the inside of the bag through the hinge and secure with the elastic rings – which are fine once in place and dont give me any problems. Please don’t misunderstand me, I don’t leave a weeks worth in the scoop as I put each piece into a sack.
I love dogs and being in a wheelchair makes it very difficult to pick things up off the floor. This is a really good little product. I believe that the scoop grasp should be a bit bigger and a folding handle would make the product easier to carry around on long walks. Great for small dogs or medium as the grasper is fairly small. I do like the extra bands so you can put several bags on at once. Item ideal if you have a medium or small dog and have any difficulty reaching down or you are fit and healthy and just want to save your back! I would rate this 4/5 marks for ease of use and 5/5 marks for value. Also came with 100 pack of scented doggy waste disposal bags. I am glad I purchased it!
I bought this because I had hurt my back and could not bend down. It is brilliant and I shall continue to use it. It is the most efficient way to pick up dog poo and anything else you don’t want to touch. Very hygienic – no mess. I would recommend this for anyone with the proviso that if you have bad problems bending get the longer version. I got the shorter one because it is easier to carry and goes in a back pack for long walks.
Before purchasing I looked at videos of similar products on YouTube to ensure I knew what I was getting & the item worked in the way I wanted. And it does! Extremely pleased with item. Does exactly what it says on the packaging. As a 1st time dog owner, it makes it easy to pick up & dispose of poop. A little big for taking on walks but works so well that it’s not an issue for me. Highly recommended. Quick delivery.
As I have quite a few dogs it usually takes quite a while for me to clean up after them when they defecate, especially when they are pups. With the Handiscoop cleaning up after my dogs is so much easier as I have three bags ready to use and one bag can usually pick up two poos,the product also makes it easier to clean up fluids like loose feces and vomit when new pups get a upset stomach the only downfall is it doesn’t pick these fluids up too well off grass other than this I think this product is extremely useful and I would definitely recommend it.
Bought this cause we have a new puppy and I cannot bend at all, this has made life much easier for cleaning up the dog mess, I found it good value for money, I don’t know what some people expect to do with it when they say It’s not very sturdy, It’s to pick up poo, not dig the garden!
I have a gorgeous huge black lab who produces veritable mountains of the stuff !!!! This scoop is wonderful for clearing up in the garden. The job is so much easier, quicker and tidier than before. Some piles take two scoops, but really is no bother. I just stick the end of the scoop under the garden tap when finshed to keep clean – job done
This is an excellent product – very easy to use. It was bought as I was having cataract ops at the time and was not allowed to bend over too much, and this product really helped a lot and enabled me to walk my dog from day one. Also very useful for picking up poop in the garden
We bought the handiscoop at an exhibition after seeing it demonstrated. My grown up son is disabled and he is thrilled with his handiscoop. He uses it either in his wheelchair or one handed with his stick in the garden. It makes dog walking possible for him, as before he was unable to bend over to pick up. It is so simper to use, very clean and uses average size pooh bags, we use nappy sacks. Thank-you for letting him continue to do what he did before his illness, being a responsible pet owner.

I bought one of these some years ago at Crufts Dog Show and it has been such a useful item. I can scoop up poops without needing to bend down. Used it so much that the elastic bands wore out but I just popped a rubber band over handle. Keeping the long handled one for caravan use, the short handled one is great for going out on walks. I always recommend this item to other dog owners.

I bought a handiscoop a short while ago and it is one of the best products i’ve ever bought. I’m a wheelchair user with an Assistance Dog and we’ve had a problem for years how to pick up poo. This is perfect. I have it fastened discreetly under my wheelchair and I can whip it as needed! Perfect! I suggest you have a great market amongst wheelchair users. In fact, I’m buying a second one for using at home. Thank you for a great product.

Clearing up a lawn after man’s best friend isn’t the easiest and most pleasant of tasks…
The Handiscoop makes it relatively easy particularly since the length of the handle means that bending is virtually unnecessary. The mechanism itself is cleverly designed and the ‘waste’ can be collected and disposed of extremely easily. We’ve checked: it works on both a lawn and gravel without the slightest problem.
